Many children with mental health or emotional difficulties will confide in someone they already know and trust. Therefore, you are likely to be the first person for some young people to talk to.

What is CAMHS?

CAMHS (child and adolescent mental health services) are NHS mental health services that focus on the needs of children and young people with more significant mental health problems. They are diverse teams that include Psychiatrists, Psychologists, Mental Health Nurses, Mental Health Practitioners, CBT Therapists Family Therapists and Counsellors. Healthy Young Minds is a CAMH service operating across 5 boroughs.
